HDSN conducted an OUT training for healthwokers upon the request of Okhaldhunga Community Hospital. Eight participants from Okhaldhunga and two independent trainees from organizations in Rasuwa and Dhading also participated in the training program. The training was held from 10th April till the 21st April at the HDSN office in Hattiban Lalitpur. After five days of theory the participants were taken to 5 different places within the valley for camps to practice doing extractions. The camps were held at Anandaban Hospital, Jharuwarasi in Chapagaon, Bhardev in Lalitpur, Naya Pati and Baluwapati of kathmandu. During the period of the camp all the trainees at least treated 20 patients each and extracted 20 teeth on an average. A total of 324 patients were checked during the five days with 205 patients receiving extractions and medication.The certification was done at the HDSN office on the 21st of April after the successful completion of the program. Dr. Jagadish Marahatta, Dr. Kiran Raj Awasthi were the trainers involved in running the training program and Mr Ajay Basnet assisted in the managment of the program. The trainees who were involved in the training were Damabar Bdr Tamang, Anjan Sunuwar, Mahalati Sunuwar, Samjhana Shrestha, Dipak Khatri, Nabin K Basnet, Dawa Pemba Tamang, Nirmal Rana, Rita Basnet, Ganesh Bdr Sunuwar.
