Dental Camp in Ramechhap Posted On:June 30, 2015
++++HDSN helped conduct a free dental camp in Ramechhap from the 21st of July till the 25th of July 2011. The camp was done in collaboration with the students and faculty from University of North Carolina. Dr. Kiran and Mr. Ajay were members of the team from HDSN while Dr. Derek, Ms. Molly, Ms Katelyn, Mr. John Paul, and Mr Micheal joined us from UNC. Mr. Niraj Adhikary with the help of a local club Sukehchaur Yuva Samuha helped organize the event. Patients from as far as Sindhuli and Sindhupalchowk received treatment during the five day camp. All the patients received free examination, medication, and treatment in the form of extraction and restoration with Glass ionomer cement and composite. A total of 535 patients received treatment during the camp while a total of 783 teeth were extracted and 128 were restored. HDSN would like to thank the organizers and the team of UNC for making this camp a success and our time in Ramechhap very enjoyable.
